Location is perfect, just steps from the beach and boardwalk. The bike rental on-site was super convenient. Cleanliness was lacking; our room had dirty floors and a dusty couch. Expect parking to be a challenge, especially during peak times.

The location is perfect, right by the beach and boardwalk with access to bicycle rentals. The room cleanliness could definitely be improved as we found crumbs on the couch. The pool was nice but closed too early. Enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and great views from our balcony.

This hotel is just a short walk to the beach and the bustling boardwalk, making it super easy to soak in all the fun of Ocean City, with delicious pizza and ice cream shops just below and major attractions like Jolly Roger Amusement Park and the Ocean Bowl Skate Park less than a 30-minute walk away, plus you get free beach chairs as a guest. The rooms were also nice and clean, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, but it would have been better if the staff had shown a little more friendliness.

Great spot on the boardwalk. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room had two balconies with nice views. Air conditioning worked well, and the pull-out couch was a bonus. Free bike rentals and beach chairs were cool too. We appreciated the outdoor pool and the easy parking.

The floor had leftover sand, and the shower had hair—totally gross! Plus, the broken trash can handle never got fixed, even after I reported it. Not what I expected for the price.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, with great pillows that provided a restful night’s sleep. The room had a mini kitchen, though the one-cup coffee maker was a letdown; a 4-cup option would have been much better. I enjoyed two balconies with nice views, offering a spacious feel for our family. Unfortunately, the room was next to the only ice machine, creating some annoying noise at all hours. The indoor pool was cloudy, so we didn't use it, but the outdoor pool was a nice space. The bathroom was clean, and staff was attentive with extra towels and waste removal.

The oceanfront views are stunning! The on-site pizza joint serves awesome slices and the staff is super friendly.
Parking was full, and I had to scavenge for a spot a block away.

The balcony view was fantastic, perfect for enjoying sunrises and sunsets. The location was ideal, steps from the boardwalk and most attractions. the cleanliness was a letdown—sand on the floors and dust everywhere. The amenities seemed insufficient, and the couch and bedding were stained. A rain leak caused concern, and the staff response was lackluster. While housekeeping was polite, the room felt inadequately furnished for the price. Definitely a mixed bag—great views but marred by cleanliness issues and maintenance shortcomings. Would I return? Not sure.

The golfing concierge on, site made hitting the links a breeze. Munching on Instagram, worthy donuts at The Fractured Prune was a sweet delight. Our kids had a blast at Ocean City's family, friendly events!
My wife says that having more kid, friendly dining options would be nice.

The location is exceptional—immediate beach access and convenient parking. The staff, particularly the housekeeping team, were polite and attentive. They circled back to ensure we had fresh towels, which was appreciated. The ocean view from our room was stunning. the front desk experience fell short. A blunt staff member made our first inquiries frustrating. Miscommunication about beach chair availability was disappointing. The noise from neighboring rooms was distracting; perhaps reconsider room assignments for families near the nightlife. Rooms were clean, cozy, and well-equipped, although the couch was uncomfortable. A slight price increase won’t deter our return, especially if discounts are available for holidays. A solid option for a beach getaway.

The Commander Hotel & Suites offers an unbeatable beachfront view and direct access to the boardwalk, perfect for families. The room was spacious with a kitchenette, and the attached Grotto Pizza was a delightful dining option. Just be prepared for noisy neighbors at times!

There's literally no parking available. My fiancé had to wait 25 minutes in the truck for a spot.

Spent xmas here. Great beachfront view & pools. Located on central boardwalk; perfect for walks or bike rides. Easy access to the beach, free sand chairs, and bikes provided a fun-filled stay.

we stayed at commander hotel & suites and had a great experience. the staff was super nice and very accommodating. we traveled with a toddler and needed plates and utensils, and they brought us up a set of dishes right away at no charge. the pool was super nice with an attendant, bar, and provided towels. the rooms were very clean. the location is key as hot donuts, great smelling pizza, and ice cream are all a few feet away! ! the room was spacious with a full kitchenette, and large balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet with little to no interruptions through the night. very clean, plenty of towels and pillows, and staff was very nice and accommodating.

The room itself was quite spacious, and I appreciated the inclusion of a kitchenette which came in handy for preparing breakfast. the cleanliness left much to be desired. The floors were dirty, and I had to constantly wipe them to avoid getting my feet dirty. the heating in the room seemed a bit off as I had to let the water run for quite some time to get warm water for a shower. On the bright side, the location of the Commander was fantastic, with easy access to the beach and boardwalk. The large balcony provided a great spot to relax, and the pool was enjoyable despite the indoor pool being a bit small and crowded during rainy days. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive experience. One thing that stood out was the lack of attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and maintenance, with issues like a broken table leg and no unsweetened creamer available for coffee. These small details may seem insignificant but can impact the experience.

We were so close to all the epic events in Ocean City, Maryland, it was so easy to go and have a blast! The donuts at The Fractured Prune were Insta-worthy for sure, we couldn't get enough! Gotta love how easy it was to hit the links with the golfing concierge right there too!
Yo, it would've been even sicker if the hotel had like a sick rooftop party spot for us young party animals to turn up at night! .

The location of Commander Hotel & Suites on the Boardwalk allowed easy access to the Ocean Bowl Skate Park, a must-visit for skateboarding enthusiasts like me. The indoor and outdoor pools were a fantastic surprise after a day at the beach, and the on-site dining options were convenient and satisfying. The nearby bars and shopping added to the overall positive experience.

Had a great room view of the ocean! Close to many restaurants and fun activities. Beach chairs provided, no need to bring your own. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the lobby was comfortable.
Parking was challenging, had to park quite far. The cleanliness of the room could be improved, sand on the floor from the beach was uncomfortable, and housekeeping didn't clean during the stay.

Our stay at this beachside gem was mostly fantastic. The location was perfect - close to everything, but still far enough to hear the soothing sounds of the ocean. The rooms were comfortable and clean, perfect for my family of five. The pool was a great bonus, with towels provided. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially towards our disabled family member and service dog. a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
One disappointment was the miscommunication about the oceanfront view. Despite being told there was an end-to-end balcony, it turned out to be a slanted view.

clean and spacious rooms - with a large balcony and easy beach access. the staff was super nice, and the location on the boardwalk was perfect. loved the free bike rental.
